In this MMA technique video you will learn how to exit the clinch by using a shoulder drive technique from a Shoulder Control (underhook) position. This is an extremely powerful technique that can be used to make a clean exit from the clinch in order to return to long range striking or used to transition into a side or rear clinch position. The key is to generate a large movement through the shoulder section on the side where you have the underhook in order to throw your opponent off and away from you while at the same time retreating out of the clinch.

It’s a basic MMA move that’s incredibly effective and is used a lot by fighters such as Fedor Emelianenko. Great for both MMA, Wrestling and Muay Thai or any combat sport that allows close range clinch.
