This MMA Striking Drill will help you to focus on the application of your kicks under pressure and teach you how to get inside kicking range in order to counter kicks.
This is a free sparring drill where both people have to play certain roles. One person is only allowed to attack with kicks and knees and the other is only allowed to punch and strike with the arms. Both sides are allowed to defend in any way. When you first start out with this drill the kicker may feel vulnerable and at a massive disadvantage but over time the kicker will learn to be able to compete much more evenly with the puncher.
