In this MMA striking tip we learn how to bait our opponent into a Spinning Side/Back Kick. It’s a common tactic that your opponent may circle to your lead leg in order to avoid your power punches, if they do this consistently you can game plan against it. Here we purposefully allow our opponent to move around our lead leg in order to shorten the amount of movement required to connect with the spinning kick.

This footwork tip can be utilised in other combat sports that allow kicks like Muay Thai and it also works well with other spinning techniques like a Spinning Backfist.
