In the recent UFC Fight Night 57 event Frankie Edgar imposed a fantastic display of ground and pound on Cub Swanson before finishing him with a Neck Crank Submission.

As always, Frankie put the MMA fundamentals together incredibly effectively and used all the ranges to get the upper hand. The key to getting himself into such dominant positions was his MMA wrestling combinations that led to his take downs, one of which we look at in this video. The takedown happened in round 2 of the fight when Cub Swanson was trying to block Frankie Edgar’s wrestling and take down attempts on the cage.

A sudden switch of direction with his wrestling and some great pressure and technique led to a great takedown for Edgar which helped him secure ground position and win the round.
