In this video we look at a core strength training exercise for the shoulders that’s great for MMA. By using a partner for your MMA strength work you can achieve intelligent resistance and this enables you to work at 100% maximum resistance all the way through a muscles range of motion. In this exercise we are simulating a Downward Shoulder Rotation (Kimura) – not only is this a fantastic workout on the shoulders but it also heps to strengthen your resistance to the submission itself both mentally and physically so it’s particularly relevant if you participate in MMA, BJJ or any other combat sport that allows submissions.
